Months before we are able to lay our hands on actual examples of BMW’s car of the moment it has premiered in the popular mobile game CSR Racing 2. BMW’s dedication to its fan base is to be emulated by other manufacturers if not imitated. Hours after the M2’s unveiling at Auto China in Beijing the car was made available in the popular gaming series.
The video game’s developers worked hand in hand with BMW to ensure that non of the details of the updated BMW M2 are missing from the virtual version of the car. The game features an augmented reality feature which enables gamers to place the car in their actual environment, say outside one’s house, and view it from all angles.
This isn’t the first time that BMW has collaborated with a video game developer to virtually premier one of its M-cars. The BMW M5 also had its debut in Need For Speed Payback last year. BMW also boasts some really solid credentials in the virtual worlds racing arenas. In CSR 2 BMW fans have collectively taken part in over 1.88 billion races averaging just over 3 million races every day.
The video game is available for free download in either the Apple App Store or Google’s Play Store. The game includes in app purchases.
